Tournament Rules Of Play

GENERAL RULES:

Poker tournaments are played until one player has won all the chips. The prize money is divided according to the number of players.

To play in a tournament, select one of the tournaments in the Lobby. You can now see all the information about the tournament you've chosen.

If you participate in a tournament, you accept all the rules and agree to respect the poker etiquette. Should you infringe upon any of these rules, you will be warned or blocked for a period of time, or, in case of a more serious offense, you will be disqualified from the tournament. A disqualified player's chips will be drawn in.

Only one player per IP address is allowed to play in any tournament due to danger of collusion between players.

If you lose your internet connection, you have no all in protection. Blinds, antes and bring-ins will continue to be deducted.

If players have no connection during the play or do not react in time, their hand will be folded.

If the server goes down, the current hand will be cancelled. If the tournament can’t be continued, the prize pool will be split among the remaining players according to our Game Cancellation Policy:

If a tournament is cancelled before it starts, all players who have registered will be refunded their buy-in and fee for that tournament.

If a tournament is cancelled after it has started, but before the outcome has been decided (e.g. due to a technical failure):

·         Players who were already disqualified before cancellation will lose their buy in and entry fees, as usual.

·         For those players still in the tournament at the time of cancellation:

o    After tournament start and before all players are in the prize money: Those players still in the tournament at the end of the last hand will receive their buy in and fee for that tournament. Then, they will be given equal shares of 50% of the entire prize pool (minus refunded buy-ins), and the remaining 50% will be distributed according to players' chip count.

o    After tournament start and when all players are in the prize money: All players will get the next prize to be handed out - for example, if there are 32 players left when the tournament is cancelled, then everyone effectively gets the "32nd-place" prize. Then, the remainder of the prize money will be distributed according to players' chip count.

It is strictly forbidden to talk about a hand that is not finished and circulate information to other players.

Seating arrangements are random. At single table tournaments players can choose their own seats. The dealer button placement is determined when the game starts.

A change of seat during the tournament is not possible, except at tables breaking down.

Each participant gets an equal amount of chips at the start. Blinds, antes and bring-ins will be deducted from players who sit out during the tournament.

Limits and blinds will be increased during the tournament according to a pre-fixed time limit.

Remaining players will be moved to different tables, as tables break down. A player who is farthest from the blind will be seated at their new table in a similar position.

A player who is placed between the dealer button and the big blind after being moved must wait one hand before being dealt in.

Between every prize increase, the tournament will be played on a hand-to-hand basis until the next player finishes.

If a player is all in and no further actions are possible, all cards will be exposed and the hand will finish as usual.

Chat is unavailable for all players as soon as one player is all in.

If two players go all in during the same hand, the player who had more chips will be ranked higher.

In the case of any dispute(s), the decision(s) of POKERPROSNETWORK Management is final.

Re-buys: In some tournaments, it is possible to make re-buys - this means, to buy additional chips to keep your chip count higher. The number of possible re-buys (from 1 to 'unlimited') is set by the tournament director. In any case, re-buys may be made either until the first break, or before the first break but only until the number of players still in the tournament has been reduced to the number of paid places PLUS 3. For example: If a particular tournament pays out to 50 places and the number of players in the tournament reaches 53 before the first break, then - from that point forward - re-buys are no longer possible.

Add-on: In some tournaments, it is possible to make an Add-on - this means, to buy additional chips to keep your chip count higher. An add-on may be made once during the first break. However the add-on option will no longer possible during the first break, if before the first break the number of players still in the tournament has been reduced to the number of paid places PLUS 3, for example: If a particular tournament pays out to 50 places and the number of players in the tournament reaches 53 before the first break, then – no add-on will be possible during the first break.

Tournaments Rules

  1. Tournament seats are available on a first come first served basis.
  2. Seating within all single and multi table tournaments is random. Players can not change seats during a tournament. A player will change seat only when moved from a table to another table during a multi-table tournament.
  3. The player situated in Seat 1 is the designated 'Dealer' for the start of the tournament.
  4. If more than one player is eliminated in a hand, the player with more chips at the beginning of the hand is placed higher. In an instance where 2 or more players are eliminated, and they started the hand with an identical chip count, the player closest to the left of the Dealer Button will be eliminated first, then the player closest to the left of that player, and so on, clockwise around the table.
  5. If there is a split pot, not equally divisible by the number of players in the hand, the chips will first be divided evenly between the winners, then any extra chip(s) will be awarded to the player(s) closest to the left of the Dealer Button.
  6. Poker is a game of integrity and etiquette. Each player should play with the same intensity against all other players. Unethical play, such as soft-play and chip dumping, may result in penalties, including seizure of funds from the offender's account and/or forfeiture of any prizes and/or termination of the account.
  7. PPN reserves the right to cancel or reschedule tournaments at any time, for any reason, with or without notice.
  8. Tournament registration must meet minimum requirements for that event or the tournament will be cancelled. In the event of a tournament cancellation, due to an insufficient number of entrants, all buy-ins and entry fees will be returned to player's accounts.
  9. In the final stages of a tournament, the prize money can jump significantly with each player eliminated. In these instances, where there is more than one table remaining, the tournament may be played "hand-for-hand". This means that if one table finishes its hand before the other table(s), that table waits for the other table(s) to finish before the next hand is dealt. During this hand-for-hand period, all bust outs during a "synchronized" hand (even at different tables) are treated as having happened on the same hand and chip stacks will be compared as in rule 7 above to determine the finishing order.
  10. Break Schedules
    1. There will be a 5-minute break every hour in a standard multi-table tournament. There are no breaks during single-table tournaments.
  11. Deals
    1. PPN does not assist in any deals among players during tournaments. Tournaments will continue until there is one declared winner, unless it is a satellite event, and the payoffs will be exactly according to the prize payout structure.
  12. Registration
    1. Registration will terminate if the max number of players allowed for the tourney is reached,
      • Or 15 minutes after the start of a freeze out tourney
      • Or After the first break of an R&A tourney
      • Or After the first prize has been awarded
    2. Unregister: In most tournaments, a player can unregister until ten minutes prior to the start of the event. Players who have won their seats through a satellite can unregister when the tournament is in "Registering" state and will be credited with a Ticket. The Tournament Ticket will appear under the Player's 'My Tournaments' and is available for use for the same tournament, at another scheduled time.
  13. Server Issues
    1. In the event of a server crash, all hands in progress will be rolled back. Each player's chip count will be reset to the amount at the beginning of the hand.
    2. If we experience a server crash or unscheduled downtime of less than 20 minutes, we will attempt to restart tournaments as soon as the majority of players have reconnected. If the downtime lasts longer than 20 minutes, we reserve the right to cancel tournaments and refund players based on our tournament cancelation policy.
  14. PPN Management decisions are final.

Tournament Cancellation Policy

In the unlikely event that PPN has to cancel a scheduled tournament, we will make all possible efforts to refund players as fairly as possible. Due to the varied scenarios that may be involved we have decided to simplify our policy to cover the three most likely scenarios:

Cancellation prior to the start of a tournament

If a tournament is cancelled prior to starting, all players will receive a refund of their full tournament registration fees. Tournament fees will be refunded in the exact manner that they were paid. (This may include any combination of cash, Gold Chips or Gold Cards).

50/50 Tournament Policy

If a tournament is cancelled before the money, we will try to compensate all remaining players based on their play up to the time of the cancellation. This is best achieved by awarding 50% of the prize pool to all remaining players and the other 50% of the prize pool will be awarded proportionately based on each player's chip count. All remaining players will also receive a refund of their entry fee. Any player who was eliminated prior to the cancelation will not be entitled to a refund. All awards for a tournament canceled in progress will be cash. If the cancelled tournament has a guaranteed prize pool, only the entry fee will be returned (not the guaranteed prize).

In the Money Tournament Policy

If a tournament is cancelled and there are players in the money, we will try to compensate all remaining players based on their play up to the time of the cancellation. This is best achieved by awarding each remaining player with the minimum prize not yet awarded, and the rest of the prize pool will be awarded proportionately based on each players chip count. All remaining players will also receive a refund of their entry fee. Any player who was eliminated prior to the cancellation will not be entitled to a refund. All awards for a tournament cancelled in progress will be cash. If the cancelled tournament has a guaranteed prize pool, only the entry fee will be returned (not the guaranteed prize).
